Joe and Ritz have been married since July 2011 and serve as Life Group leaders in the Sugar Land area. They have two dogs named Chief and Duchess. Joe has a BS in Accounting from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Ritz has a BS in Psychology from the University of Houston and an MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Joe is an accountant for a hospital and Ritz works with youth as a Therapist.
Joe and Ritz both serve in the Children’s Ministry and are passionate about teaching children and youth, and love seeing people accept Christ into their lives. Both enjoy the outdoors, camping, and traveling. In his spare time, Joe enjoys running, biking, and swimming. He has completed multiple races including marathons and adventure races. He is currently training for his first triathlon. Ritz enjoys reading, running, and planning social gatherings.
Richard and Sonya Gasdia have been married over 30 years (since 1984) with two grown children and five grandchildren. Richard grew up in Maryland and graduated from Frostburg State University in Cumberland, Maryland. He was a principal of an IT auditing firm. Sonya, a native Texan, graduated from Houston Baptist University. She is a CPA and works for a national CPA firm.
Somewhere in their busy lives they have time for hobbies. Richard jogs, bicycles, and has finished multiple marathons and MS 150's from Houston to Austin. Sonya is a cowgirl at heart and loves horseback riding.
Richard has been serving in ministry for over 30 years in various roles, but mostly pursuing his passion for teaching God's word. Sonya has served for over 25 years in music and financial roles, but most of all, wants people to know how much they are loved by the Lord.
Richard and Sonya currently serve as Life Group leaders in the Cinco Ranch area.
Edwin (Eddie) and Carmelitha Taylor have been married for 14 years. They have 2 children; Israel who is 15 and Alexandria who is 12. Edwin graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria with a Masters of Education. He is currently a Special Education teacher. Carmelitha has a B. S. in Accounting from Northwestern State. She is an accountant.
Both Eddie and Carmelitha have several hobbies that they enjoy. Eddie enjoys barbecuing, watching football, fishing and going to the movies. Carmelitha likes crossword puzzles, reading, dancing, traveling and spending time with her husband and her children. Eddie and Carmelitha are very passionate about utilizing their gifting to serve at GCF Katy. They enjoy helping in several aspects of ministry from set-up to teaching in Sunday school, and have recently become Life Group leaders.
Fran and Heidi Rowe have been married since 2010. They have a combined family of 6 children and 7 grandchildren. Fran and Heidi relocated to Katy in 2014 from Upstate New York where they were both born and raised.
Fran is in business development with an environmental company and Heidi has her AAS in Business Administration from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse NY. Heidi works in healthcare.
In their spare time they enjoy riding motorcycles, football, pinterest projects, and spending time with their family when they come to visit. Fran and Heidi love sharing the word of God with others and are very excited about being life group leaders.
Paul and Melanie have been enjoying life together for 28 years. They have been in full time ministry for 26 of those years. Paul has his Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth and Melanie has her P.H.T. from Southwestern as well (Putting Hubby Through!). They both grew up in South Louisiana, so they enjoy LSU football and great Cajun Cooking.
In their free time, they travel and spend time with their four children and one amazing grandson. They also spend time running together and with friends to build their relationship and to stay healthy for the long run.
Paul and Melanie are both passionate about building meaningful relationships and expanding the Kingdom of God. They love leading Life Group because impact happens when you spend time with others.
Reginald and Shara got married in 2009 and have been a part of GCF since January 2013. Both are veterans; he served in the U.S. Navy while she served in the U.S. Army. They are currently both employed in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Family is a big deal to the Martins; Reginald has 5 children and Shara has 4. They also have many grandchildren that live across the United States.
Their favorite pastime is hanging out at the beach in Surfside with friends and their awesome doggie Boregard. Reginald and Shara also enjoy going to newly released movies, especially action movies, and riding bicycles around their neighborhood.
They starting using their gifts for the Kingdom soon after joining the Grace family by serving in the First Impressions Ministry, helping host and organize church events, and serve as Life Group Leaders. Their love for our church family and visitors is evident to all that are observing!
Stephen and Rose have been married since November 2001. They have 4 wonderful children. Stephen grew up in San Antonio and has an A.A.S. in Computer Programming. Rose grew up in Maryland. They met in Maryland while Stephen was working for the federal government. He got Rose to Texas as fast as he could.
Stephen is one of the VP’s for an IT company and Rose works in transportation for an Assisted Living company. Stephen enjoys being active outside, in the gym or just hanging out with good friends. Rose enjoys reading a good novel, serving people with her time and good fellowship.
They have been involved in ministry for many years and are enjoying being Life Group leaders at GCF West. The best part about this is they get to work together for one purpose, to serve Him and impact lives.
Kyle and Deborah met in their college ministry in East Texas and got married in 2014. They serve as Life Group leaders for the singles/young professionals of GCF throughout West Houston.
Kyle has worked in the insurance and banking industry until he had the opportunity to serve as full-time staff for GCF West as Pastoral Assistant in March of 2016. Deborah has a background as an ABA Therapist to help children with special needs and now she serves as the Kingdom Kids leader and is also working in her family’s insurance business. Together also they serve their community by hosting evangelistic events with the CARES Apartment Life program.
Kyle and Deborah both love Aggie football! Deborah also enjoys dancing, finding new recipes, hosting parties, shopping, and spending time with her family. Kyle likes to skateboard, play basketball, video games, hunt, and take Deborah on new adventures.
They are eager to see lives transformed by Jesus! They know that God is building His kingdom generationally through the life of the church and they share a special passion for ministry to the millennial generation.
