Paul serves as the Lead Pastor of Grace Community Fellowship West Houston in Katy, Texas. He married Melanie in 1988 and they have four children ranging in age from 21 to 26. Their family is increasing with 2 daughters added by marriage and one amazing grandson! Paul has been in full time Christian ministry for 27 years.
While in seminary, Paul served as Lead Pastor at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Azle, Texas. After 10 years of schooling, Paul earned a Master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Paul and Melanie served six great years as Lead Pastor at Lighthouse until they answered the call to move to Restoration Ranch in 2003, where he served as Executive Director of the Restoration Ranch until September 2015 when he transitioned to full time Lead Pastor of GCF West Houston. Paul ministers in local and foreign mission outreaches and preaches conferences for churches across the nation.
Paul is a very gifted and engaging communicator. He presents Biblical truths in a clear and concise manner that is easy to grasp yet powerful in its application. His intense delivery and self-effacing humor make him a joy to hear. Paul's top three passions are faith, family and friendships.
Joey Pineda serves as Pastor with oversight of the Children and Audio/Video ministries. Joey enjoys sharing God's word with others, and has had the privilege of teaching at Sunday services, men's events, youth camps, and during mission trips to Mexico, Poland, and Ukraine.He holds a B.A. from Houston Baptist University and a M.Ed. from Lamar University. He and his wife Brittany are both educators and have been married since 2006.
Nick has been married since October of 2008 to his wife Lisa. They have three young children, Brooklyn, Josiah, and Annalise. Nick is a graduate of Texas Tech University and works as an operations manager in the oil & gas industry. Nick has many hobbies; he loves traveling, shooting, hunting and any outdoor activity with his family.
Nick currently serves as an elder with oversight for the men’s ministry and nursery.
Richard Gasdia has been married over 31 years (since 1984) with two grown children and five grandchildren. Richard grew up in Maryland and graduated from Frostburg State University in Cumberland, Maryland. Richard enjoys jogging, bicycles, and has finished multiple marathons and MS 150's from Houston to Austin.
Richard currently serves as an elder with oversight of Discipleship Training and the church website.
Carrie Groce serves as the worship leader for GCF Katy, and has since the church's first service in 2010. In July of 2012, she married the love of her life, Brian Groce. She began leading the GCF Wharton Youth Worship Team at the age of 13 and has continued this passion ever since.
Growing up, Carrie was homeschooled by her loving parents, Tod and Terri Mund. She, along with her five brothers and one sister, enjoyed music/worship from a very young age. She excelled in piano, guitar, and vocal lessons. She always knew she wanted to use these God-given gifts to glorify the One who gave them to her.
Carrie attended the University of Houston and earned her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Carrie has a passion for worship and leading others into the presence of the Lord. She loves equipping others to use their gifts for the Kingdom.
Brian Groce has attended and served GMI since the age of 11. He began serving in GCF Katy during the church launch in 2010.
Brian is an entrepreneur and has always enjoyed web design. He self-studied programming and later became a partner at an ad agency. He has a degree from the University of Houston in marketing and entrepreneurship. He now runs a successful e-commerce business along with his wife, Carrie Groce.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his family.
Kyle and his wife Deborah found GCF West when they got married and moved to Houston in 2014. Even before coming to work in the insurance and financial industry, Kyle had a desire to work full time in ministry.
Before begining school at University of Texas at Tyler, Kyle served as a missionary for YWAM which enabled him to serve churches in countries such as South Korea, Czeck Republic, Romania, as well as the inner cities stateside in Chicago and Dallas. Once in school, Kyle helped lead a blooming student ministry; realTALK, which has evangelistically reached students at four different colleges in East Texas and has since branched out as far as Arizona.
Kyle now works full time for GCF West as Pastoral Assistant to Paul Tsika. He is responsible for the administrative needs of Pastor Paul and the church as well as leading the singles/young professionals Life Group. He also works with CARES, an apartment ministry outreach program which has reached thousands of apartment communities nationwide. He and Deborah have hosted numerous events throughout their time with CARES and GCF West. Kyle loves that his work includes assisting leaders within the church on the various events!
Kyle and Deborah have a huge passion for their Lifegroup, but they also enjoy working with the Kingdom Kids ministry. They look forward to seeing where God takes them and the lives they see changed as they build His Kingdom!
Sean Cozart serves as the Student Pastor of Grace Community Fellowship West Houston. He is happily married to his best friend Jana Cozart, who plays keyboard on the worship team.
Sean is currently attending Wharton County Junior College working towards his degree in general studies. He has plans to attend HBU after finishing his general studies degree to attain a degree in theology and Christian counseling.
Sean has been attending GCF West for over 6 years, and has been actively involved since he first started attending. He first began serving as the electric guitarist on the worship team, before moving into various roles of leadership with youth ministry being his most passionate area to serve in. Sean teaches and believes that a youth ministry isn't just a Wednesday night get together, but a group of young adults who are the youth ministry. He has an excitement to build up and equip this generation of young adults to be all God is calling them to be.
